first try of a newbie

Post by melmaker »

Hi all!

I got Moho a few days ago, and I have juste finished my first (very short) animation of my first character. I like cartoons very much, and I plan to create one for a friend.
Here's a link to my animation, I know it's not very complex but that was more of a try than a real project. Any advice would be appreciated, especially on how to make realistic articulations like albows and so on. Hope I come with a cool animation soon.

Thx!

No, actually I made a patchwork with some pictures I found on the net, then I vectorized and colorized it.

Like I said, I'm having a hard time at adjusting the elbows and knees, but I think I found a bit of a solution by separating my character in several parts (shoes, legs, torso, arms, forearms, and head) and then using layers to hide the parts I didn't want to show.

Does anyone has a tip to lend me on that subject? Because I find it rather hard to draw joints properly for animation... :?:
