Robot Ringtone

Post by Mikdog »

Hey dudes.

My brother made this neat little ringtone so we made an animation to go with it.

It goes on for a while so I just put a sample up:

Cool beans,

i like it, but think the face is too much "human" to have this robotic voice. with this voice I imagine a robot with light equalizer bars as mouth.
with the actual face, I imagine your robot should have something as a Robin Williams' voice.

Thanks selgin ;)

I took your advice of the light equaliser beams.

Here's the result:

I really do apologize for the shoddy quality. 3GP's much faster to upload to YouTube, and less expensive for me.

Anyway, you were right on the money with the bars - it really DOES look better and sounds more like it should ;)

I like it and all, but if I actually heard a ringtone like that in public, I would feel the urge to kill rising...
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Aren't ring tones just for that, to annoy people to insanity. Otherwise you would use the vibrate mode. It is unlikely that someone else's phone vibrates in your pants.

I look at the ads on TV for ringtones. it seems the more annoying the ringtone the more popular.

A crying baby put through a vocoder? No ways.

He he he. I want a bumper sticker that reads 'other people's phones vibrate in my pants.'

Anyways, I never really wanted to get into mobile content. I think a person would have to be mad to spend R5.00 (about $0.50) on a downloadable ringtone. But if there's money there I may look into it.

I'll check out the scene with this ringtone.

Good on mikdog, very funny and excruciating.
YOU are so popular.
I liked the background on the first one more.
What about a spectroscope that actually looks like phenomes?
