Post by Rai López »

Well, if someone is interested, HERE I have found some interesting and very well done videos about the new incredible features... Of couse, pay special atention to the "Puppet Tool" addition and to the new Vector/Shape possibilities, uf... And all that power working into the already powerful AFX, WOoOw... And I know I must be prudent until I can try it at least (I know...), but I think/hope it can be like the heaven's open to me... Well, it's only that all this seems... uhmmm, I don't know how to say you guys, well... it sound simply marvelous :)

PS: BTW, you can use any invented names/e-mail to can see it...

Good grief! Nearly every other post mentions AS!!!

That's got to be pretty good for them.

Not so much if Flash steals their bone warping though. ;)

Just found it in the UK on Google:

Adobe After Effects CS3 Professional (Full, PC)
Our Price: £730.00
List Price: £750.00
You Save: £20.00 (3% savings!)
usually posts within 24-48 hours
Final Price: £730.00 (includes P&P!)

For those not familiar with Pounds Sterling, it is the equivalent of $1,460
Expensive little add-on for a package (AS) that cost me $129

All I need now is to win the lottery. Very nice, but there are loads of great programs out there that I would like too, as well as Ferrari's, villas in the south of France ......

It wasn't planed, I found this weekend an offer for After Effects standard 6.5 for 400.-Euro, fullversion.
It was short fight with myself, I ordered it.
And so I will get the possibility to buy the upgrade, but not now.
First I have to make a bit more money ...

You should have a look around for usable offers, sometimes you can have "luck".

Edit:
http://downloads4software.net/products.php#adobe
look here
After Effects 7
$159,95

Ok, I spend to much money, but I've got it german...

Looks very dodgy to me! I think you would be in trouble if you tried to register it. As far as I know, Adobe don't sell 'old' versions of their software. Looks like a pirate outfit to me.

Hm, yes could be, and I don't think there's an update opportunity.
So the price is again to expensive.

But it's true that you can find some older Adobe software outside in the web.
The amazon UK offer of After Effects Prof 6.5 was to expensive for me, sadly it was also in german... sniff

Yes - I saw the German one at Amazon UK :) Still quite dear.

I also saw Effects Lab and Composite Lab, have you ever used these?

They have been combined to make VisionLab Studio, which has a commercial licence for about £220 (PC) (about 320 Euro). Looks like it might be a poor man's After Effects and well worth the money!

You can buy the 2 products separately for a lot less, but there are some restrictions. May be good enough for a hobbyist such as myself. I will look into it further.

Best Wishes

You can always use the trial software from adobe. That is what I did before I purchased it. It lasts for 30 days and is the full version with save export, etc.
You'll know when you get there! My Dad

And to use the trial again and again.....
First install an Image Software, and make an image, than install the trial, reload your image after the 30 days, and install the trial again...
Could work, I hope...

That makes no sense.

I'm trying out the trail and i'm liking it a lot. The only thing that nags me is "will i find a use to make it worth it?" considering I won't be doing much of my work in it....

But i love that puppet tool damm it...

It was a joke to reinstall the trial and play with the computer "grounddog day"...

And another info
There is an other fine particle emitter software, Particleilliusion.
http://www.wondertouch.com/default.asp
The SE version costs §99.-

Edit:
I bought it, and paid with taxes 94.- Euro
And I had problems and biiig trouble to activate it via internet.
I did send mails, no answer (was friday evening)
After 1 hour I tried it again, weird, it worked...

The next day was an answer to my cry of help
They couldn't help me they just sell it only, hm, and why is on the website I'd get as I had the trouble, a small box for describing the problems???
Bad designed and a "merry go round".
("Element 5" is the seller, not Wondertouch)
Allright, my problem is solved, maybe the server of Wondertouch are to slow.

The software itself... I've got a lot of fun.
