Have you tried it yet? I just downloaded a trial offer, will report back! Thanks for the link.
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

I've tried this software a year or two ago, I don't know but to me it was "not a very precise" software,
You can make a model of a toy etc. but you have to take pictures of turnaround,
and in the end the software has its own interpretation of a model.
It sort of sounds cool - you take a picture and the software makes a model,
to me it is more fun to model and to texture myself. Maybe someone is making use of it

I boght hexagon due the discount ,but I find very difficult to model something.
Mainly for the lack of time .
Are the mesh obtained with Pictomod , editable with other software or the poligons are a mess?
I planned to draw a series of pictures of a character ( front, side , back , etc) and doing a final model with pictomod , then rigged\edit it

Would this software be able to make a model from a series of outline drawings? if so, that would make it very useful. Normally I make my own models from scratch using Lightwave but sometimes creating organic shapes can be time consuming.
Anyone?

It wasn't an error. I followed the tutorial through and it made nothing from my drawings at all? Maybe someone else could try it and get different results.

There is an answer right on Pictomod page: http://www.styxar.com/HiPolyDino.htm this image is the best to show how to waste polygons,
also geometry all in triangles, which is -still- not good for animation apps.
Red Hamster, you have a very good application, unfortunately I can't use Hexagon, the demo crashed so many times on my system that I had to choose different modeler. Hex has good manual with short clips so learning should be no problem.
Don't waste time with Pictomod... even on their website, I honestly think models are very poor, it scares me even of thinking if I had to rig these.

Oh...I purchased hexagon because the discount offer but I find it much less easy than I aspect to work with.
And because it has a bug with invidia video card, It freeze ofter, for 10 second or more. Very frustrating.

Perhaps Picto may be useful for static mesh; thing like fornitures etc.
I 'll try it.
