Tried importing the test obj directly into Moho 13 this time. The materials do not automatically come into Moho with the object but it's easy to set up.
1. Import the obj. It will be added to a 3D layer.
2. Open the Material tab in the Layer Settings window for the 3D layer.
3. Select the material with the UV map (in this case, I had named it
Pano.)
4. With the Browse button, select the texture.
5. Click Apply. The texture should appear immediately.
6. Adjust the material settings to what you want. If you want the image to look exactly as painted, set Ambient Intensity to 100%. Set Diffuse Int and Specular Int to 0%.
As described before, you'll probably want to center the camera and scale up the sphere.
If you click and drag a corner of the 3D layer's transform widget, it should scale proportionately.
