New user, using anime studio 8

A place to discuss non-Moho software for use in animation. Video editors, audio editors, 3D modelers, etc.

New user, using anime studio 8

Post by redstorm » Sun Nov 04, 2018 1:42 am

Hi all:

A long time ago I got and installed original anime studio pro 8.
I only used it one time. It was a long time ago.
I just checked my old pc the other day and the software still works including the pdf manuals.
I just decided I want to start using it again. I really want to spend a long time dedicated to
master this software. My goal is to make beautiful animated 2d cartoons with anime studio 8.
I just wanna do this just to be happy and not for profit.
Sometime in the future I can get the new moho, so until then I can use what i got for a couple years.
All I want is to learn to make nice animated cartoons.
Any tips would be appreciated.
Cheers !!!

My suggestion is to just start making stuff, and keep at it. The more you do, the better you'll get at it. Be sure to read the manual or at least skim it so you know where to find the info when you need it. If you still get stuck after looking up the info, you can always ask questions here.

And last but not least, have fun with it. Good luck! :)

adding to that - start small - just 5 or so seconds of animation - maybe one walk cycle; or a simple 4-5 phoneme lipsync; a ball bounce to try out squash and stretch etc … at the outset you're learning how to use the program - the tutorials that come with AS will help you with that - AND you're learning animation techniques - take a look here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/12_basic_ ... _animation to get the basic ideas.

but DO come back and ask -- there's loads of help here for free..

Hi:
I just wanted to thank you all for the replies.
I am very serious about spending a long time to master cartoon animation
using anime studio. I found a great animation on youtube : a star wars animation
made using anime studio. It is so amazing, I decided I want to learn to do that.
I want to take anime studio to the max, to make amazing animation.
Thank you all for your help !!!
