Make a 3d face from a 2d Image

Try this website that takes a photo of your face and instantly turns it into a 3d model:

It was designed to work with photos, but it accepts artwork too:

Could be used as a nice, convenient way to quickly generate different angles for a Moho face rig.

A few odd artefacts on the artwork, but it seems to work pretty well. Thanks for sharing.
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

It looked good online. I tried to open the obj file in Moho, it appeared in the layers list but was not visible. Couldn't see it in Blender, either. Windows default apps showed it upside down without color. Is there a Windows app that can display it as it appears at the website?

How did you turn the rendering into a Gif file? Thanks.

That's pretty cool. Good idea using this to make reference images for head turns.

hopefully successful upload through tiny pics - shows that references might be helpful for difficult angles - limits also obvious. The less photorealistic the image, the worse the render. Simple cartoony heads are not recognized by the software.

Hey guys, it works best with a front view image, but I wasn't able to download a usable 3d object either. However, you can take screenshots of different angles as exile has done above for reference images. I used LiceCap, a free screen capture recorder, to create the gifs:

That's a great little app to make Gifs quickly. Thanks for the link.

Anytime! And I agree, cool little app. It's my main app for quick screen gifs.
