i'm looking for a 3d program

Post by Víctor Paredes »

I want to make a animation in moho wich have 3d objects (in the obj extension). I'm working with wings3d, but this don't let me to apply textures to objects.
so, i'm looking for a good and very basic program wich let me to do that.
I downloaded some freewares, like art of illusion and blender, but this are too much complete and complex.

do you know what can i download?

thanks.

Well, actually you can apply textures in wings. I think jorgy gave the tips here somewhere... might be this:

I have to run to my bus now, but if you don't find out how, then let me know.

Yup, it's possible to texture models in wings3d. Here is the right link to the discussion where I have a little tutorial on it:

Also of interest is 7feet's script called "S.O.S." for Simple Object Shading, which is very useful for toon looking objects.

Finally, here is a technique to use the AutoUV feature of wing3d to add textures inside wings3d. I haven't tried this yet, but it looks good.

Have fun! Also, post back here if you use wings3d, or another program. I'm always interested in what works for people.

I looking for a 3d modeller like Teddy

Post by red hamster »

There are some 3d software that have both the classic tools and the draw like features of teddy ?
For rapid prototyping and low poly characters creation . I download wings and Silo (demo) but without a some serious training , I can't get nothing with classic poly by poly softwares.
