Yeah, but the lines that Freestyle generates are actually vector-based, so you could even import them into a program like AS for further tweaking. Not sure what other toon-shader can do that.

At Time 5:22 you will get some idea where only outline will be rendered
and you can save that outline render as JPG and use autotrace in AS to import the vector points in AS.

Actually, I think the Freestyle renderer can export to a vector format (SVG) directly, at least it could when it was originally integrated into 2.49. Not sure if TK has incorporated this feature into this 2.5 branch yet.
