LOL! That's not announcing it, that's just not denying it! A user asked about it and they said they didn't have a release date. I know the iphone 6 is coming, but that doesn't mean Apple have announced it!

As I said in a previous comment, I went to a presentation of it in Montreal, it is coming, just that Harmony 3 will come first, so I guess they want as many peoples switching to it as possible before TBAP 3 comes out.

Yep, you're right. I forgot you'd been to that. Was that this presentation? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJw7tg_4fMk

Thats the harmony 9 launch tour, not the same!

Anyhow, they will not let go of all these users who paid for TBAP in the ditch for a software that is twice the price.

Harmony standalone is already a product, so replacing TBAP 2 by harmony 3 standalone would cost them huge amount of money since they cannot lower the price of Harmony stand alone for fear of cheating actual owners of TBH and they cannot expect TBAP 2 users to fork the difference in price.

Those are distinct products that are on a different scale.

TBH stand alone is for freelancers who are being outsourced by studios that needs backward compatibility with Harmony studio.

So there was ANOTHER presentation about Animate Pro 3?

I'm confused. :?

Oh well, I'm not going to worry about it any more, I'm off on holiday on Monday, sun, sea and sand for a whole month. Maybe they'll have actually launched AP3 by the time I come back. :)

Actually, Animate and Harmony both offer an IK bone option.:

They both have IK, Harmony has a deformation tool which is pretty much the same as the After Effects Puppet tool with curve deformers instead of a mesh, but neither have Bones in the same way that Anime Studio has Bones.

Toon Boom Studio has the same Bones as Anime Studio. Animate Pro has nothing similar.

So Gilles is still correct. One day, we will catch him out and prove him wrong about something! ;)

Hi Angelo,

do you mean this:

If so: that was the reason why I got AS. But then I read that it was not done in AS; just read the first comment on YouTube!

The comment is wrong, that animation was created in Anime Studio 5 (or Moho, on those years), Greykid/Freakishkid have used AS on many of their projects.
PD: the youtube user stolen that video, but that is another topic.
