Dogwaffle Pro 5.1b has new tools for animators and textures

Post by staigerman »

Heya and happy New Year to all. I hope it's ok to mention other animation/painting software in this thread here, especially as it relates to a free update and new mini tutorials.

Just a quick note for those here who use PD Pro 5.0 along with Anime Studio, there's a free update available, contact us. The latest Dogwaffle is 5.1b.

5.1 added a bunch of new features for making textures, with the Symmetry modes in x and y axes that works not only with brushes while painting but also with filters if they do a refresh. (Pretty much all filters do.) One of the best ways to experience it is with the Transform ilter with the tiling checkbox set, and reduce size and change rotation. You can also use it within the animation timeline (manual refresh needed at this time, to be improved) so you can make animated mandala-style kaleidoscopes. Great for new backgrounds or fancy rug textures.

For (traditional) animators, there have been improvements in the Mouth plugin such as a quick and easy audio recorder plus the Frame painter which lets you take just a few sketches and turn them into lengthy frame sequences, plus add a wiggling motion to it.

See examples and more details here:
