This tutorials are coming along great, I hope others are benefiting from them also. Tutorial number 7 is out now.

Do you plan to do any for the upcoming 2.5 version? I'm waiting for this version before I try Blender, but then I'm going need all the tutorials I can get.

Sorry for the confusion, I am not the creator of this tutorials, I am just someone who is benefiting from them, I think the author talks about 2.5 in one of the episodes.

If you want to download 2.5 alpha 2 you can find it here:

2.5 is scheduled for release in October.

The current version 2.49 is great though.
