unnessecarily huge character file,

Post by omyben »

hi im new to the process, and i am looking for ways to compress my files.
i created a tree with 4 vector layers: 3 for leaves 1 for the trunk.
I created my leaves by attaching small ovals to a long rectangle. multiple bones were added to each layer for a wind whistling through the leaves effect or whatever. All of this done in moho and as you can imagine the file is huge what would be the best way to approach reduction?

THat doesn't sound like it should be a very large file. How big is it? Unless it's a very complex tree, the file size shouldn't be a problem.

2MB seems very large for what you are describing but in any case maybe you could add the leaves with a particle layer. Then you only need to draw one leaf and have the particle system copy as many as you like. Particles do not have to move like with rain or explosions, they can just randomly place static objects too. Take a look a Tutorial 6.2 of the manual, that might put you on the right track.

Good luck,

Reindert.
