Bone constraints

Post by zoesan »

setting up a rabbit rig, with big ears which I'd like to wobble whilst hopping from ground following an arc back to ground.
Does the number of bones in the ear matter to the torque, I've seen video with three bones and I believe one with a single bone. Using jpegs, I have the choice of 'bind layer' in tool bar and then in drop down menu under bone of: Flexi bind or use selected bones for Flexi binding. Have been attempting the three methods, but not sure if you can select all three bones in the ear and simultaneously Flexi selected bones to bind to one jpeg layer whilst at the same time not sure if I even need three bones when one would do to achieve that wobble of the ears.

One bone should do because the ear in itself is stiff and will only rotate around its base.

thanks slowtiger for pointing me in the direction that jpegs would use just one bone with dynamics, to get the bone torque effect.
