Any way to get some previews of the new features? The webpage doesn't have any updates since last week. I know you guys were at Siggraph, but some of us can't make it there to see the new features in person. I would be nice if during the Siggraph presentations, you could video stream so that those of us shackled to our day jobs can see what attendees are being shown. Otherwise, we feel like we don't deserve to be shown all the good stuff that is coming and we have to wait and wait until we are fed crumbs. /s

But, seriously, some vids would help and is this coming out 8/9 (like I saw in one twitter post)??

From what I saw there really weren't any official SIGGRAPH presentations, more like stop by and if there was someone at the booth monkeying around with the Moho station, ask them some Q's.

That said, I can't wait to see some official videos on the new features. There were some scene files at SIGGRAPH that I would love to see someone demonstrate for us all to see!

This is great news, I can't wait!

Not sure on the name change, now that Modo is so popular, but at least no one will confuse Anime with Animate (formerly Toon Boom, now Adobe) which is what I always heard. And why Moho 12 instead of just Moho? Surely nobody will remember Moho 5 and get confused. And will you go straight to Moho 14 next year like the superstitious Toon Boom did with Harmony?

And this is a MUCH better upgrade than Harmony 14, by the way. Well done!

@Mike
I kind of agree with you about the version number, especially since AS/Moho was bought by SM since it was last called Moho. But I guess they didn't want to completely divorce it from previous versions of AS. As far as the name goes, Moho was around first, so I think it's only fair to use that name again. Anyway, Modo is 3D.

Although it's kind of hard to compare with when smart bones came out, I really think this is going to be the biggest release in AS/Moho history. Some people took awhile to understand things like smart bones, but I think there's going to be a lot of new features/improvements that are instantly usable.

Well, for many of us who used and loved Moho... "Anime Studio" was always "Moho". Like if you were good friends with a celebrity long before they changed their name and became famous... you will always think of them by the name they had before.
"I knew Anime Studio before he changed his name and got famous. Back then he was just "Moho" to all his friends and we loved him and knew he would be a huge success." :)
p.s. Not sure if applications like Anime Studio or Moho, are feminine or masculine? Like ships? Ships are usually feminine right? But some big ones are named after guys... but... like the Enterprise on Star Trek, they refer to it as a "her"... Or storms... hurricanes use to be guy names I think back in the 70's... or is it typhoons? Maybe I am seriously over analyzing this. :)

Maybe about five minutes. Could have done more tweaking to perfect it.

Things are... er... well... borderline "okay". Work is a bit slow. I kind of set aside my obsession with Anime Studio for a bit, but it's looking exciting again.
v12 looks like it could be a game changer!!!! Some of those new features look amazing. I am not sure I can get back up to speed on it like I use to be. I may not be able to get as expert as I was in the past.

Well, they just posted a little teaser about Moho 12. Note that there is also going to be a "first look" webinar on August 12.

Darn it, I won't be able to attend the webinar. Can someone make sure it is put on Youtube as quickly as possible please?

What's the release date? And what's the price?

The new features look amazing, can't wait.
And if "Edit Multiple Layers in the Timeline" means one can move the position of 'deep' Keyframes just by working on the top layer, I'm buying a bottle of champagne :D
Cheers!
