Nice one Gilles! I had often wondered about a thickness setting for extrude and in this tutorial you pointed out that it is over in the Style panel. What a strange place to put it away from the other 3D settings? No wonder I couldn't find it :)
Thanks.

Actually while we are on this subject I would like to discuss the quality of the 3D objects created in AS? Anyone who has used a real 3D animation package would know what I am talking about, for instance with Inflate, why do the edges crinkled up like a foil party balloon? It's a pity as I have wanted to do a few 3D projects in AS from scratch but the tools just aren't quite there yet.

Hello DK

Yeah, the tools are very basic, but they are way simpler then any 3D package, and You still can create some amazing models with them.

This said, they definitely need some work before they can be used in any serious production, especially the inflate, the Extrude and Lathe are good enough in my opinion.

Yeah, I wondered what the thickness setting was for in the style window the first time I saw it, then it became obvious when I started playing with the 3D tools.
