Why does it struggle when i try to transform in frame 1?

Post by Calfuso »

I can transform points fine on frame 1 but when i go to frame 1 it occurs problems. After i move the points they doesn't keep their position and moves to another location after i let go on my click. I have no control over the position they change to. Is there a way to solve this or can you not transform points past frame 0. I don't hope so.

Hello there!

I take it You meant that You can move points at frame zero, but that things get bad at frames 1 and up, is that it?

You can definitely move points at frames other then zero, just make this little test so You can see.

Create a circle at frame zero, then go to frame 1 and move points, keyframes will be created on the timeline.

It is hard to tell what the problem is, never had that problem here, maybe You can share the file so We can have a look?

The movement is probably fighting with bone/smart bone influence...

I don't know what you mean whit draw a circle at frame 0 and then go to frame 1. I want to transorm points not make layers. I only share the file if that,s the only solution since i want to keep it private.

But here,s a image showing how it looks when i try to transform points.

it just looks like some points aren't bound to the correct bone... you should start simple and read the manual

The whole point of ASP is to be able to animate points over time past frame 0, so your problem must have something to do with a bone.

The probem doesn't have to do whit bones since i have done everything needed whit that. So here is the file. Try to transform points in frame 1 and see that it doesn't work.

Ok, don't take it personally, but your model is badly constructed, first there are way too many control points for that type of model, and there are several layers on top of each other, 4 on the right arm alone.

Also, your problem definitely is a bone binding issue.

For example, the rim of your bottle is binded to the bone of the right thumb.

I strongly suggest that you go through the basic tutorials.

Ah! Mabel Pines from Gravity Falls!! (yeah - alright - I have a small kid so I'm sadly all too familiar with Disney Channel etc etc) ...

Is this an SVG import or AS trace??? these are both notorious for generating way too many points.

Really best to do a manual trace or at least simplify the layer structure and reduce the number of points!
