a) I printed out my narration script
b) I placed my microphone inside a small crate that I lined with foam and a blanket
c) started Audacity
d) I read everything in my script, repeating the parts where I made mistakes...I saved this as my source audio file...
e) I optimized this 'source file' in Audacity
f) I Dragged and Pasted my best takes, faded them in and out then saved them individually to a folder with a number and a few words so I knew what it was.
g) I imported them into AS as their spot in the Timeline came up. I made sure the volume levels matched.
h) For 'SFX' I clicked Repeat Audio when the Sequencer was selected (I used the 'whoosh' sound a lot)

Hey, that was helpful! Just let Audacity run as one long file, and THEN chop up into final takes. Instead of trying to do each piece as a separate, perfect Audacity file.

And I would love to see your BOX!

I love little building projects like this.

Nothing special about the box. It's just a small plastic crate about 2 feet square. I got the idea from YouTube.
