AS 9.5 question

Post by gdub »

Is AS 9.5 a separate product than AS 9? In other words if I install AS 9.5, will I still have access to AS 9?

I'll go out on an limb and say yes, but only because I see that the installer puts 9.5 in its own 'Anime Studio Pro 9.5' directory. Sorry, I can't check if both will run simultaneously since I no longer have 9.0 installed on my mobile computer but since they're apparently not sharing resources, they probably will. (I'll check when I get home tonight--I may still have 9.0 installed with 9.5 there on my workstation.)

Just curious but why would you want to keep both online? Is it for backwards compatibility with other artists who haven't upgraded?

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, it's a backwards compatibility reason.

Just in case anyone's interested, I just installed AS 9.5, and I still have access to AS 9.0.

Oh, good! Last night I meant to report that both versions do run on my workstation at home but I fell asleep early. Sorry. Anyway, glad to hear that it's working out for you.

That's Okay, thanks. I've just started playing around with AS 9.5, and I'm really liking the new smart bones revisions.
