Moho training viewlets (online videos) using Camtasia...

Post by musajoe »

Hello All,

Lost Marble should do a group of training viewlets using Camtasia.
This would be a good way for users to see Moho functionality in action.

This would be an easy and affordable way get users up to speed using Moho.

Well, I'm going to disagree! :)

Personally I think such training videos are a waste of bandwidth. The tutorials are more than good enough IMHO. And especially if making videos of someone clicking around in Moho would mean fewer tutorials, I would be strongly against it (and despite the Camtasia hype on the website - videos take longer to make).

Something in the middle is OK, like the stuff Myles has been doing with Wink.

Just my $0.02!

I also disagree. I've found that video tutorials are much harder to follow than written ones.

Not only do most people already know how to pull down menus and make selections, but things like pressing certain keys or mouse buttons don't show in those video tutorials either; there's very little benefit, I think.
