Searching for some shortfilms made with ASP

Post by Animark »

Hello,

I am an animation teacher and will start some lectures with anime studio pro in two weeks. I want to give a few good examples of shortfilms made with ASP. They should be on a high level in animation, style and - if possible - in storytelling.

I searched in the "share your work" section of this forum, but found mostly fandom work or animation tests. There are some very good examples there of what is possible in ASP, but I didn't find any excellent work in all issues of making a good shortfilm (OK, I haven't watched all the posts.).

I wonder if there is nobody orientated to the old cutout masters like Yuri Norstein - just to give an example.
Maybe someone can help me with a link or a hint.

By the way - my last work made with ASP is an easter greeting animation. I also lacks of a great story ;-)

Thanks for any hints!

Hmm...I haven't made any short films really, but I have a bunch of stuff here:

http://www.bruandboegie.co.za/animation.php

and a series made with asp: http://www.happyland.co.za

There was a guy, I can't remember his name ... he made a short film about this architect guy who falls into the sea and meets a mermaid, and it inspires his next creation - an aquatic themed building or something, can't quite remember the details. Really nice. Also, on the www.lostmarble.com forum I remember there being a student short film from Germany.

Spooze films makes a bunch of short films.

Good luck.

I can recommend you this project where I animated the characters using Anime Studio. The rest of the credits are on the link.

If you are interested, you can see more on my youtube. Most are animated on AS and composed on After Effects.

I found this one to be quite entertaining. Very interesting style and story. I'm not sure though how much he used AS for it, but it all looked AS do-able.

Wow,

thank you so much. These are wonderful projects and exactly what I am searching for. I think I've seen "Miss Remarkable and her Career premiering" in Annecy this year, but didn't know it was made with ASP. I loved it.

You helped me a lot to give some inspiring examples to my students to stimulate them for own animations.
