Computer Specs

Post by omenriver »

I have read the commented minimums of the software
but was curious as too what type of computers you are running

I am looking to purchase a new computer
and I am thinking Maxing out on RAM.
I am guessing a high end Video Card would help as well
[though I am unsure if that is in the budget :D ]

For Anime Studio you won't need a high end graphic card because it doesn't use the 3D engines.
Regarding the CPU it seems that it is not using multi core capabilities and that the application is a 32 bits one.

ANYWAY, when you buy a computer (the main workstation) you must invest in the maximum budget you can allow. Unless you are going to create a Studio and you need to buy several computers with minimum decent specifications.

Those are my specifications:

Mac - Mac Pro with twin 2.8Ghz Quad Cores with 8Gb RAM. NVidia GeForce 8800 GT with 512 MB RAM.

PC - Notebook with 2Ghz Dual core with 3.2 Gb RAM. NVidia GeForce 7600 GT with 256 MB RAM.

I primarily use my Mac now but I never had any issues with my notebook.

Dear all,

I will update my PC. Usually I do this every 2 years. Currently ANIME STUDIO job, PAINT TOOL SAI and edit my videos using SONY VIDEO STUDIO. I have never used tools for 3D modeling and animation but I would do when making this upgrade my CPU.

I've always had problems during the process of video editing. I wish to avoid the classic "crash" and lost everything done for hours.

I would appreciate your advice on:

MOTHERBOARD
MICROPROCESSOR
MEMORY HARD DISK
RAM MEMORY
GRAPHIC VIDEO CARD
AUDIO CARD

From already thank you very much.

Hello there!

AMD Phenopm II 965
Asus M4A79XTD EVO motherboard

64 gb SSD for c drive
1.5 tb hard drive array (3x500 gb)
Asus GF 9800 with 1 gb ddr3
Windows 7 64

I build it mostlly for 3D and video work.
AS Pro is way easier on hardware.
