What's the best compositor?

Ok, thanks for the information. One question though, is TV Paint standard sufficient for animation and composting? The company only has a demo of the pro version and that is pretty expensive for me.

It's interesting, works on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Compositing and editing.

No, I don't normally use it. (mostly Final Cut, Smoke, Shake, and Logic for me)

I have tried zs4 some time ago when I needed a chroma key. It had one, but when they change the name they changed the interface. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone as a video editor. There are quite few of the half way descent video editors in the 100 dollar class.
