Switch Layer Keyable in Moho

Post by HumbleEgo »

The switch layer is such a great idea, I wish it just just a little easier for us flaky artist types to use it. It would be wonderful if you could key it in Moho. You could basically use the graph editor to display the layer names and and move the key to different layers. This would make things like using Switch Layers for hands, eyes, and other "non-auto-lipsynced" artwork 1,000 times easier. You could time it with other elements instantly.

Further, for those of use who prefer doing the lipsync ourselves rather than autosync, it would be easier as well.

You can key it in Moho, but not the way you describe.

In Moho 4.6, set the frame on the timeline, then right-click on parent Switch layer name in the layer hierarchy, and set the keyframe from the pop-up menu that appears.

In Moho 5, you can use the same technique, or alternatively click on the new Switch Layer tool, then use the context-sensitive tool attributes above the workspace to set the keyframe.

Regards, Myles.
