I would find it really useful to be able to play back animations not always from frame 1. Similar to maya where you can set a start frame and end frame when working on a section of animation.

You can achieve this a number of ways including clicking on the ruler (frame numbers) of the timeline to Set playback Start/End as follows:

ctrl-left-click (set start) / ctrl-right-click (set end) -- Click on the green/red coloured bars again to remove

- or if you want to Set the animation/document Start/End:

alt-left-click (set start) / alt-right-click (set end)
