New shape behaviour

Post by Vagabond »

I was trying to make a scene with depth and realised if the shapes I put on a single layer could cast shadows it would be better. I could work faster on a single layer than I could switching from layer to layer.

Now, when we click on a shape, the styles panel changes and we can name the shape and change it's characteristics. Maybe the panel can have "layer setting" options too like noisy vectors and shadow. Alpha and opacity are the same but soft edge and blur are slightly different. This way each shape is like a little layer.

Also, if we could set a shape to black then turn the Alpha to zero then AS would treat it as a hiding mask affecting the other shapes in that layer
Also, a shape set to white and zero alpha would be treated like a revealing mask inside that layer. That would make basic masking 100 times easier.
