Bone Dynamics Freak Out

Post by drumlug13 »

-There is 1 bone in the tie knot.
-There are 5 more going down the length tie. Bone Dynamics are set at Torque= 3, Spring= 2, Dampening= 4 (These settings worked great for I tie I made in AS 11)
-The tie is acting crazy

I've seen this occasionally when I've worked with Bone Dynamics in the past. If a reset didn't fix it, I would usually find a rogue keyframe that bumped the bones into action but there are no keyframes here at all. I've also cleared all animation from from the document.

Is there something else I'm missing here? What else can set the bone dynamics into motion?

No I just double-checked. He's not fully rigged yet so there are only 3 smart bone actions so far. The bones in the tie aren't part of them

Mmm, I might need to see the file. Doesn't need any of the artwork...just the bone layer.

Something is definitely giving the tie a bump at the beginning.

PM'd the file. I've also deleted all the keyframes in the smart bone actions just to check but the tie still moves.
