Move level without permission

Post by Shepard »

Hi, I have a problem.

Sometimes, when I select one tool (anyone in particular) the level moves into another position without permission (and keyframes in timeline!).

In this example, while I doing some test with bones and patches, see:

A:

B:

Shot B it's right! As shown by the patch's indicator between arm and torso.

But when I take the select bone tool, the level moves!
Taking other tool, the level come back in the original (and right) position.

ATTENTION: I repeat, the layer moves, not the patch's indicator.

I have similar problem in other situations: for example, if I draw two figure (in two different layer), and then I create a bone, when I "insert" the two figure into the bone layer, the two figure move elsewhere!!

How can I resolv? It's a fastidious and tedious problem!

Thanks.

Not sure I understand everything but it sounds like you've moved the bone with the offset bone tool (have a look at tutorial 3.4 in the manual).

That would explain why bones jump around when you select different tools.

It's in 100 page.

I probably unwittingly used this tool, but how I resolve the movement problem?

On frame 0 use that tool to move the bone to where you want it to be on frames other than 0.
It might seem strange but the bone offset tool helps with rigging. If you do the tutorial you will see how it works.

It's strange... :?

If I push Offset tool when I am in frame 0, the layers come back to the right position...If I move the timeline, it's all ok!
But, if I return to frame 0, the layer is again in the wrong position...

However, this is a non important problem, right? The frame 0 is hidden in the animation..

I have a similar problem.

I created a shape, and I placed it in position that I need for it.
After, I needed of to insert this shape in a character, for move together, but when I do this, the shape moves in another position, and I'm forced to take it and RE-placed in the original position.

Why the shape moves? I don't understand, I think that Anime Studio is too meticulous, there are too passages for do a simple thing.

It's probably because you've moved the bone layer that your character is in.

Any layer that you move into a character that has been moved will be moved relative to the character. The solution is to create the layer inside your character and then draw your shapes.

It's the same with group and switch layers. If the group, switch or bone layer is not at x0 y0 z0, create new layers inside and then draw.

Things like this are only confusing at first, you'll soon get the hang of it.
