Just for the sake of definitely getting an entry in (though will hopefully have my proper one finished):

The last character is so similar to your avatar... Does it mean something....  (just kidding)

Good entry!! Good luck.

Heh, heh. I hadn't even considered that. Though, I have, in real life, been told that I resemble just about every beardy guy on the planet at some time or another, including Charles Manson and Ted Kaczynski.

When people aren't comparing me to serial killers, I've also been told that I look like Jesus.

Here is a 2nd entry:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sy-KmnGmDZ4

Yesterday I had the titles done, the rest was done today, so it's a bit rushed (to say the least). It's really hacked down from what I'd originally intended...but....

I got some nifty head turns in, showed a few things that AS 5 can do, like particles, animation with bones and/or points and some lip sync even though there's no sound! :D

Plus...it is actually done in anime style....well I thought someone should! :)

I submitted an entry. I only have the demo version so I can't render it out, but here's a link to the .ANME file if anyone's curious.

It took about twice as long as it should have, because I didn't know what I was doing when I started. Ah well.

Really, really good work.

And getting it all in one file is impressive (I used 9-10 to do mine).

good work.

really appreciate your contribution.

thanks for posting your work, i did look into your work and it turns out we use the same technique in setting up scenes by using the layer visible timeline.

keep it up and hope you create more animations.

Thanks. Yeah, working with one file was becoming a real pain towards the end. It would freeze for a little while every time I saved, and I'm a compulsive saver.

Aw, man, that's tough. We can't have that!

So here it is:

http://generalpicture.com/animation/MyEntry.avi

I rendered it out for you in DivX, but it's still 14 Mb, so this is a LIMITED TIME OFFER.

(Get it before I yank it due to the bandwith it will eat.)

You'll need DivX to view.

Cheerio.

Hey everyone. Well, the day is here - actually been here a few days but I've been working weekends and this is my first free day. I sent an email to e-frontier to see who will be handling stuff since Fahim is gone and I am collecting all the entries today to forward to the judges. I want to be sure that they didn't receive entries via any other email address and will also check the several forums where I posted news of this. Best of luck to everyone who participated. :)

We have a late entry by floydcsnow. Not eligible for the prizes but I'll submit it so he can at least be seen as he did lots of work.
