Idea for a contest...

Post by spoooze! »

Here's my idea for a Moho animation contest:

Pick a fairy tale then make your own version of it. It can be a spoof or your own re-telling.

Minimum time is 1 min 30 seconds. No maximum time.

Just an idea :)

Hmmm... I think we must go into detail on that one 8)
I think it would be good for the community, for moho itself and for most of all moho users.

It'd be great if someone would put up some prize money. That seemed to really encourage participation the first time.

Maybe contestants could pay a modest fee to participate and that pooled money could go to the winner.

Kind regards,

Hmm... And we could even bet on the participants...
So get you all a Image, a Image and a Image, we'll meet in that illegal casino downtown

No, seriously what amount of money are you talking about?

Exactly

Fairy tale, or adaptation of a movie, I'd love to see animated version of
Twin Peaks or Fight Club, or maybe someday someone will animate
Calvin and Hobbes?

I don't have time to organize it, but perhaps someone could set up a paypal account where the money could go.

It would have to be someone trustworthy, though! Also, there might be some legal issues for running a contest that involves pooled prize money.

I can't donate :( I don't have any money lol.
I personally don't care about prizes.

You should talk to Lost Marble about prizes.

Anyway, should we do it (I have a film done ;) )? LM? You reading this at all?

Well, if there was any money involved and I won a prize, I would donate that to charity. Doing Animation in your own time is too much fun to be bothered by money concerns.

Anyway, I think that collaboration is much more productive than competition. In a competition there is only one winner and the rest are losers.

I saw a nice project by some Dutch cartoonists, who drew their own spread and then the next cartoonist would pick it up from there, continuing the story. Each cartoonists had his/her own style, so the characters changed appearance all the time and new characters popped up, while old ones were never seen again. Very entertaining.

Perhaps a modified version would be a nice idea for a collaborative project.

hmmm, i already mentioned of making a collab, but no one seemed to be interested...

Anyway, any creative suggestions welcome.

I just think it's time to do some stuff, which is intended to showcase moho.
