I need to make an animated alpha map to export into 3d programmes. I am lost so very lost. please teach me as my other option is far more complicated and too slwo and not open to imported bitmaps

So, whats your solution?

I was going to write a script that would convert all fills and outlines to a shade of gray that would be dependent on the layers distance from the "camera". I don't think it would be all that hard, and I might do it if theres some general interest, as it has been mentioned before. It would probably be easiest to kill any layer shading, and most of the line and fill effects (those that only involve the inside of the shape). I don't really do a lot in 3D apps, but I could see how it might be useful.

I basically used the masking, after I figured out what order to put things in. I'll post up the tut asap :)
