How do I save swatches (colors) to the palette?

A swatch in moho, if I remember correctly, is just a .png (image) file. You can select "render", save to a .png in your swatches folder, and presto, instant swatch.

ok thanks.

here's another question....it may be a dumb one, but I am still going to ask it

If I fill an object , can I make the fill a different color using a swatch rather than the color sliders? And for that matter, can I use a swatch in picking an outline color also?

It seems like the color sliders come up when I want to change a fill or outline on an existing "filled" object.

You can still change the color of the selected shape by clicking on the swatch. I don't know about using the swatch on outlines though ...

Left-click on a swatch to set the fill color of the current shape/style.

Right-click on a swatch to set the outline color of the current shape/style.

Big aha! I didn't know about right clicking on the swatch. That's a help.

But can you also use the swatches when you're making a colour gradient or shading? When the colour picker comes up, you can no longer click on the swatch or anywhere else to pick a colour, you have to find it from scratch each time with the sliders, which means writing down RGB values all the time - which is cumbersome.

No, you can't - not at this time.
