Export my vectors to other formats than .moho?
Hello again
I had no luck finding an answer on this forum or in the manual, so:
Is it possible to export my moho files to other formats? So that I can import it to Illustrator?

I could be just sitting at home with pee stains on my rug.
What I need is the curves exported to a common vector-format, such as .ai or .eps.
You can´t do it. Moho vectors are spline-vectors like one sees in Hash Animation Master. From what I understand this is not the same vector-format used in common vector-based Illustration programs. (I have never tried to use a Moho file in Hash AM so don´t know if that even works.)
According to Moho users manual: Reference>Export Formats>Still Images
".......but sometimes for certain post-processing tasks, you may prefer to work with a sequence of separate still image files. You can choose between JPEG, BMP, Targa, or PNG."
Apparently no vector type formats available.

I didn't even get the SWF to Illustrator. Not possible to import it.bupaje wrote:How well does Live Trace work with that imported swf file?
But after exporting a high resolution PNG, importing it to Illustrator and a few thresholdtweaks (with the Live Trace function) later I got the result I wanted.
A bit more job than I'd like, but I guess I'll have to settle for this method.

Another method I use is to export a swf, import it into a flash editing tool (eg. macromedia flash) and then re-export in .ai or .eps format, as you do so directly from the editor i use.

Well...
The "new" version of AI (CS) has the ability to open SWF. I don't have it yet... but that could be a way... just export a single frame animation to SWF.
... of course you would need to buy the new AI... or upgrade anyway.
Since Adobe owns Flash now... SWF will probably get more support in their products.
I tried this with my "ancient" AI v9... no go. It saves SWF but it won't open them. I even tried printing to PDF from an SWF... usually the PDF maintains vector info... but the SWF player just converts it to raster when printing... those bastards.
