Moho: ColorPoint GRADIENTS don't update follow lengthen w\ bezier curve when Handle stretches curve

Post by danceman »

Hello esteemed LostMarble Admin and Members,

As seen in screenshots 1_ & 2_ below, the central Color Point GRADIENT does not update, follow or lengthen with its bezier curve when the bezier Handle stretches it.(as Adobe Illustrator and common meshes do)

picture 1_..) shows the ColorPoint, purple gradient in start position prior to Handle extension,
picture 2_..) shows the ColorPoint purple gradient does NOT follow or extend along its bezier path extended by the bezier Handle.

Thanks for any help resolving this bug? or incapability.
I've written Smith Micro to please make this an urgent, Color Point tool repair\completion or Feature Request.
Moho is Awesome!

Color points are just localized on the point itself. They have no relation to the vector line. If you need to "lengthen" the result, try adding more points with the same color, so you can move them.

Thanks Synthsin75(Wes),
really appreciate your reply and suggested solution. Although bezier handles on Edge of the closed vector line, Do affect their color point Gradients when handles are stretched, compressed or rotated etc. like Gradient Mesh beziers in Adobe Illustrator.
So perhaps Moho bezier points no longer affect their color point Gradient when Welded to another shape or curve as is the case with this bezier vector line bisecting a closed vector curve?
I'm about to try the same bisection with AutoWeld enabled then Weld Crossing, but will probably lack the same affect on its color point Gradients.
I'll also try adding then moving points with same color as suggested, but anticipate problems since animating\interpolating these vectors.
Any other suggestions are as appreciated as your 1st solution.
Talk soon Wes,
enjoy day &your art,
Jeff
