Roll away from camera?

Post by uncle808us »

Hi I'm wondering how to animate an object rolling away from the camera?
This has me wondering if it can be done. I know most things can be done if you learn how to do it.
So I want to learn how to do this effect?

A bit tricky, but can be done like this:

1. Animate the rolling part, like a wheel, in place and loop it. That's a simple rotation (don't forget to set interpolation to linear).
2. Put this animation into a group layer.
3. Use the 3D tools to turn this layer with your wheel inside into the right direction.
4. Put this into another group layer and set its origin to the vanishing point you aim for.
5. Create a key at start, and scale this top group layer down at the end to make that wheel appear smaller and further away.
6. Adjust first key interpolation, or add additional keys for correct speed.
