What I'm after is using text in a frame by frame layer.
I'd like to type in a Letter then move to a new frame and type in a new letter at a different position and continue doing this for a sentence.
Is it Possible?
I can do this drawing in the letters in FBF, but I'd like to use a font of my choice. Not free hand.
Thank you.

If you want a typographically pleasant sentence as a result this is not the way to do it. Usually we work with the complete text and an animated mask.

I'd like to type in a Letter then move to a new frame and type in a new letter at a different position and continue doing this for a sentence. ...

try this:

outside the fbf group - with a vector layer active invoke the Text tool (and, if you plan to keep this layer, set it to 'don't render')
in the Text tool make sure the "create text layer" and create one shape" options are NOT checked.
type whatever you want …

you now have each letter as a "shape" -- you can copy/paste one or more letters from the vector layer to the fbf layers...

hope that's helpful

(there are many other ways to achieve what you want, including - as SlowTiger has said - masking … say if you want more ideas.)

Yes all ideas welcome I'm now reading up on kinetic typography. There is a Moho video on this. https://www.animestudiotutor.com/specia ... y_in_moho/
