That's the reason why we usually avoid patterns like this in 2D animation. Your choices are:
- work in 3D
- delete the pattern
- change it into a texture with less contrast and direction
- go for a stylized approach, don't deform the pattern at all (the cutout look)
- instead of a full pattern, use just a line at the sleeves and a double line on the chest, which you can animate like the rest.

That seems drastic. Moho can handle textures just fine. You just have to know the limitations.

Oh, good to know!~ I turned off bone strength entirely.

I made that texture with some lines in another layer, then I rendered it and applied it as a texture.
Should I go back to the lines w/ masking? I was afraid the masking would get confusing and difficult.

Masking a texture would probably add complexity without significant benefit. As long as you can get away with it, I'd probably stick to fill textures.
