I am trying to change the color of text within an animation. Specifically, I'm trying to do it in an action. The objective is for a text layer to turn red and start flashing. I can make a copy of the text layer, change its color, and mess with visibilities, but I'm really hoping I don't have to do that. When I change the text color in the layer's properties dialog, it just changes it globally for the layer rather than changing it at the point in the Timeline.

Do you have animated layer effects enabled?

Actually, using text layers in this project seems to make Moho really fragile, with lots of temporary freeze ups and weird behavior. I'm trying to use them as little as possible.
