Hello all, I am trying to create tv snow with a particle and have had some limited success. Is there a different way? Or maybe I'm using the particle settings wrong. Does anyone have a simple solution, mine isn't simple. Thanks in advance.

Use a bitmap program like Photoshop or Gimp. Create a large image with just b/w noise. Import into Moho, set to some 20 different positions, loop. 10 min work.

You could even lift that noise from google images. I used the two files from http://www.redwingdigital.com/bully-pulpit/film_grain/ as a starting point - changing brightness and contrast.

Thank you Slowtiger for the excellent suggestion! I even found a quicker way, I took your suggestion of a large "noise" image and just flipped it horizontal then vertical then again for just six frames, cycled both channels and done. Works great looks just like my old Black and White tv. Thanks again! C

Here is another way of doing it within Moho, using pixelation and noise:

Well I'll be a......since when did Moho get pixellation? Wow I had no idea it was there.
Great effect too. Pays to always read posts on this forum :)
