lip sync changed after being rendered

Post by willwillwill »

Hello
So I rendered a short video which had been synced using papagayo. It looked fine in moho and was all lined up nicely. Then I exported it and the lips are moving way off from when the audio ends. Is there a thing I didn't do or should have done?
Thanks

Yes. Test render much earlier. You can't rely on playback being 100% in a production surrounding (this is true for all animation software).

I'm guessing the frame rate for the Moho/Papagayo animation data or the audio clip was different somewhere in your workflow, probably 24 fps vs. 23.937 fps. If it's not in sync throughout the whole process, it will drift.

Also, how are you testing the playback? You can't depend on just hitting Play because real-time playback is not frame accurate. You need to run an Preview Animation.

It also helps if you only use uncompressed audio. Using compressed audio is unreliable for frame accuracy.
