Is there a way to apply scaling to layers?

Wondering how to accomplish a certain animation task? Ask here.

Is there a way to apply scaling to layers?

Post by JoelMayer »

Hi there!

I've got two characters built but one unfortunately got a little bigger than i wanted. So now i want to scale him down by layer scaling but then of course, the scaling will be set to 0.5 or whatever. Is there a way to freeze the scaling or apply it like in a 3D software so the scaling will be kept but the values will be reset at 1? Thanks! :)

:?: scaling is animatable. if you scale down to the required value on frame 1 (not frame 0) then later want it back to "full size" just hit reset wherever in the timeline (remember to key the frame 1 value where you want the size change to start!)

If you have scaled down on frame 0 then on frame 1 press reset - that will add a key for the frame 0 value - now go back to frame 0 and press reset and that will set it to back 1 on frame 0 (and leave the smaller value as a key on frame 1.
