Stroke exposure during overlapping objects

Post by kooobus »

Hello there animators!

Recently I came across with some stroke exposure issue. I couldn't figure it out by myself so I thought you can help me.
The effect i'm trying to achieve is to show stroke of object when it's overlapping other object during animation.

Hope you can help me with this one ;D

Cheers!

Here is one solution using a mask and reference layer. In Moho 12. This works with any version that has reference layers.

If you want it to look exactly like your image, move the top layer in Dale's file in between the two grouped vector layers, and set it to don't mask.

Yes, I forgot that you can not mask a layer. It would be better to have everything in the same group. That way you can move the group as one.

Thank you for all replies, but the thing is I don't own moho 12. Is it possible to do it in AS 10 without using reference layers?

If the layer with the stroke doesn't move or can be bound to a bone, yes.

Thank you all once again.
I think I can work with that, probably I should update to MOHO 12 soon. Shame there's no reference layers in AS 10 :(
Anyway you are great people and yours advices are very helpful.

Cheers!

Thanks, Paul. It would help if I could remember threads like that to reference, instead of making new examples.
