If I select a group of points, and want to move them along the x or the Y only, is there a keyboard command or a way to make them lock to the X or Y while moving them?
I'm still using version 11?

If you want to translate points and restrict movement to just the x or y axis, using version 11:
1.) Select the points to be moved.
2.) Hold down the shift key while you move the points.
3. Don't forget to add a starting keyframe in the timeline so that your points don't drift all over the place, and an ending key, so they stay put.
Also, try creating a "point group" so that you will be able to access those points again, if necessary.

Thank you. Strange, I thought I would've tried holding down shift, how silly of me. I never knew about being able to make a point group, I'll look into that for sure.
