how do i change the view settings for keys? AS 11

Post by skygaz3r »

hello there!

i just started using AS11, before i have been using AS9.
i want the keys to be shown just like that "point/dot" not in that "length" thingy. using switch layer it´s in that length thing, but actually i like the simple "point" view more. is there a way to change this and set this by default?

It must be Pill Key day for the forum :D

There's two discussions going on with this topic. The pill shape is indicating how long that vector layer in your switch is holding. It's the new visual indication of a hold key. So you can change that by checking the "Interpolate sub-layers" in Layer Settings > Switch Tab.

well the interpolate sub-layer might show things as points, but it also does what the option is usually ment to do, it moves the point according to the changes i made on the several layers. well... and that messes up the animation a lot :(

Your English is just fine :)

You are correct. The long pill shape hasn't changed the way AS animates. It is just the new visual indicator for hold keys in the timeline. I think you will find it very useful when you get used to it.
