I have a photograph of a wall with a window. I want to "cut out" the window so I can render it to a PNG and when I bring it into my video editor, lower layers will show through the window.
So I have:
>Group Layer (Mask This Layer)
>>Photograph
>>Vector Layer with a shape in the shape of the window
How do I set up the masking? I feel sheepish asking this question, but I have tried searching, and tried blunt force and the answer eludes me.
Thanks, Richard

Re: Simple Mask Question

Image - mask this layer
Vector - subtract from mask

Re: Simple Mask Question
Many thanks. I have made a note of this. The manual says for the group layer "Hide all" is the most common
option when using layer masking, so I wasn't experimenting with Reveal All.
Thanks again. Richard
