Importing jpg image will not work on my Windows 7 PC

For some reason I am able to import jpgs just fine on my work PC, which is running XP. I brought my files home and all images were broken. So, I thought I might have not transferred correctly. That was not the case.
After that I started a new anime file and I tried to import a jpg. No luck, just the broken link icon. PNG works just fine.
Why would my Windows 7 machine make anime studio not like jpgs?
I am assuming maybe a file is missing or some sort of codec?
I am running anime Pro 6.2. Like I said, PNG files working are fine.
