copy bone keyframes to another rig

Post by benecosse »

Hi,

I've got 10 different characters all with exactly the same bone rig.
I want to copy keyframes from one bone layer to another.

Is this possible?

Check out Rudiger's script at Content Paradise. It would do what you want. Or I believe Heyvern had a script that works on just bones.

Heyverns script:

rudiger's script:

Yes, I have. It works pretty good in the tests I did.

I've also writtena script for importing bone animations relative to how the character is positioned. So you can for example load the animation of a character that was animated with a straight back onto a character with a hunched back.
Example:

You can also load the animation onto a character that was animated facing the wrong way.

I haven't tried Rudiger's script yet though so maybe it already has that. I know he's a much better scripter than me so it's very possible :)
My script requires the bones to be named and will only import bone position, rotation, scale and locked frames.

Ha ha -- looks like a bizarre pilates session.
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?
