Help with Tool Buttons

Post by irelbi »

Hi, I just got Anime Studio Debut 7 as a Christmas present and I have been going through the quick start tutorial. I just got to bones. I opened the already preloaded character and placed him in a bone layer, but when I try to create a bone, I can't! The only bone tool available is the select bone one! I also noticed that when I select a layer, there is supposed to be an upside down triangle in the right hand area of the layer button, but there isn't. Did I do something wrong, or is there a bug? Help me!!
Thanks,
Irelbi

Are you on frame #0? You can't create bones or layers anywhere else.

Make sure you're on Frame 0.
Also make sure you have your BONE LAYER selected, NOT the character. You can only create and manipulate bones from the bone layer.

That should help.
It takes a bit of getting used to, but you'll get it. Hang in there!

Make sure you are not in beginner mode. Look at the top right corder of the screen for a check box.

I have another question. I am now doing and animation tutorial with my character and the other layers I have, but I can't see the specific keys for every time frame. All I see is a little icon that reads "all channels". Is there a setting I need to change or something?
