Okay, so I had anime studio 6 and everything was spiffy, then my computer got whipped and I lost everything. I re-installed Anime Studio but I no longer have the serial code!! I called Smithmicro and the customer support was extremely rude and said I now have a $60 paper weight. I'm really upset and can't afford to re-buy it

Any way I can get a new one or something??[/b]

The Sn is on the sleeve the disc was in. You said you reloaded it, was the disc not in the sleeve? If not then go to Sm web site and log in and go to account and I think go to purchase history or something and the SN will be there somewhere.

What you said is exactly what a thief would say if he wanted a free copy of Anime Studio, so I'm not surprised that Smith Micro didn't hand over a serial number.

No =[ I have the sleeve for the Windows version but there's no serial number on it, the Mac version (I'm on a mac) was on this plastic thing I use to hold all my CDs. I don't think I ever registered it either, I hadn't had it very long before my computer got wiped and I'm pretty lazy about regestering things. Yeah, I guess it could sound like I'm a thief, but I could find proof of purchase since I payed with a credit card.

I would try and see about getting that proof of purchase and then calling SM back.
