I need to do an animation with a girl that has the hands behind her torso and takes a glass of water and drinks it.:? :?:

Sorry for my English, I'm Spanish.

- arms and torso on separate layers
- maybe duplicate the arm layer, once without glass, once with glass in hand
- switch visability of layers off and on where needed

You can animate layer order. Put the layers you want to swap inside a group layer, and, at the appropriate moment, swap them over in the layer order.
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

I think that you can order your objects in front or back to others objects, of course you need to have your upper arm, lower arm and hand in order and separated by layers and then you can move front to back wherever you need it.

Yes, I can do it with a vector shape, (select shape tool), but, How can I do this with a switch group? And how can I do this around the timeline (animating)?

It's like bone movent, if you, in any frame of your animation, change the order of layers in "layers" window, the change will be registered.
Try it on!
